I'm a big fan of the concept of meditation and slow breathing.
Inhale.
Exhale.
It's something I'm trying to do more of and always feel better when I do.
But sometimes it just doesn't cut it for me when I'm in a funk, even when I try (or try NOT to try).
One of my favorite other go-to's is to listen to a sad/mad/hurt/angry/heartbroken type song over and over again until the feeling passes.
The kind of song that doesn't sugar-coat the reality of things, but actually names it for what it is.
The sad names the sad.
The angry names the angry.
The heartbreak names the heartbreak.
I play it as loud as I possibly can (probably not good for my ears) and listen to it about 10 times in a row while crying and walking on the treadmill.
Works (almost) every time.
Inhale - exhale, then turn on your favorite song and cry it all out.
